The short version: Rockstar hasn’t published a feature list. Everything below comes from its Extended Look video, hands-off previews and interviews, and no outside reviewer had played the finished game when this was written. So we sort each feature by how solid the evidence is and why it would matter to you.
The features that would change how you play
| Feature | Reported detail | What it could mean for you |
|---|---|---|
| Criminal Profile | Tracks your behavior and shapes how the world reacts | Your playstyle may have consequences beyond a single mission |
| Wanted level|Six stars. Police need a witness or an alarm|Stealth and picking your moment should matter more | ||
| Disguises | Haircuts, clothes, masks and cars help you shake police | Escaping may be more than outrunning them |
| Money | Cash plus a bank account. Undeposited cash is lost on death | Banking becomes a small but constant risk decision |
| Robberies | Faster, louder methods can reduce the take | Greed versus speed, heist by heist |
| Jason and Lucia|Switch between them, or call on the other to join | Closer to GTA V’s switching, with a relationship on top | |
| Weather | Local showers, wind, storms and hurricanes | Mostly atmosphere until we learn whether it affects missions |
| Wildlife | More than 170 species | More to find and hunt for those who like to explore |
What we’d be most cautious about
Criminal Profile. It’s the biggest promise here and the hardest to judge from a demo. Rob Nelson says consistent behavior can affect how the world and story respond, but nobody outside Rockstar has seen how much it changes over a full game. A YouTuber’s report of four named states isn’t official, so we’d wait for release before relying on it.
The relationship. Reports say time together strengthens it, with no direct gameplay bonus. Whether that feels meaningful or like a side activity is impossible to judge yet. A preview published on IGN also says you can opt out of developing the bond.
Hurricanes. They’re a great trailer image, but Rockstar hasn’t said how often they hit or whether they affect missions.
Smaller details worth knowing
- Driving: streets are said to be narrower and more realistic in scale, so heavy traffic should take more skill.
- Weapons: the wheel returns, closer to Red Dead Redemption 2, where you can’t carry everything at once.
- Car theft: a phone app reportedly scans parked cars for value and security.
- Your character’s body: working out and overeating reportedly change how they look.
- Activities mentioned so far: BASE jumping, pool, gym, kayaking, mini golf, scuba diving, racing and more.
How to read this list
A demo shows what Rockstar chose to show. It doesn’t tell you how a system holds up after 50 hours, so “confirmed” here means Rockstar or a preview described it, not that it has been tested. Launch reviews will be a better test than any of these reports.
For what’s still unknown about performance, see the PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox guide. For multiplayer, see the online guide.
