GTA 6 Launch Tracker: Confirmed, Reported and Unknown

Check your unlock time and storage

When does GTA 6 unlock for you?

Pick the country of your store account, not where you happen to be. The tool converts that store’s listed unlock moment into this device’s time zone.

Based on store listings, not a Rockstar announcement. These times can change before launch.

Do you have room for it?

Rockstar has not published a file size, so nobody can tell you exactly. This compares your free space with the closest known Rockstar games.

Enter your free space to compare.
Reference points: GTA V current-gen, about 86.8 GB on PS5 and 94.2 GB on Xbox; Red Dead Redemption 2, 105 GB minimum.

Confirmed, reported or unknown

We use three labels. Confirmed means Rockstar or Take-Two said it. Reported means credible coverage or store listings, without a company announcement. Unknown means nobody with the facts has said.

Corrections and changes

When we get something wrong or change our approach, we record it here.

November 4, 2026

  • Map guide: we had credited the “twice GTA V” comparison to Aaron Garbut in Game Informer. The coverage we could check credits him with “largest by some degree” instead, so we corrected it.
  • PC guide: we removed a statement that PC can account for 45% to 50% of a big game’s sales, because we couldn’t verify it.
  • Radio guide: we removed claims about the composer of the score, and the song-by-song station list, because we couldn’t confirm them against sources we could read.
  • Seven guides rewritten: the cheats, radio, characters, map, age rating, gameplay and PC guides leaned too closely on other sites’ wording. We rewrote them, and we now label secondary sources as secondary.
  • Two guides merged: older pages on Leonida and on Jason and Lucia repeated newer guides, so they now redirect to the map and character guides.
  • Authorship: pages credited a “desk” of editors, but this is a one-person project under a pen name. We corrected that and explained it on the About page.
